If you have flushed your toilet a heard gurgling and experience some water slowly backing up into your tub. The likely cause is a backed up sewer line clog. 

WHAT CAUSES MAIN SEWER LINE CLOGS

Broken Pipe– In older homes that often have clay piping which usually results into a sewer line main clog

Roots – Roots make their way into sewer lines and continue to grow eventually clogging up the pipe

Grease Build Up– You may think you are running enough hot water behind the grease that it runs out but if the grease cools in your plumbing system it will congeal into a solid mass that is capable of backing up your sewer.

Feminine Products – Feminine Products can get caught or lodged in the piping system resulting in a back up. Best not to flush them.

Toys– Believe it or not alot of small toys disappear down the drain and make be the cause off our clogged sewer line. 

HOW TO FIX A CLOGGED SEWER DRAIN LINE

The bottle line is to call a pro no amount of plunging with fix any of the above scenarios. A plumber can preform a video inspection of the pipe and locate the clog. After locating the clog an auger can be ran down the pipe to free the clog.
